Window-sill gardening

Whilst we're waiting to move our current house is having to double as a greenhouse for the plants that we've been growing from seed. We had thought about giving many of them away but now that we're going to have a lot more growing space we're keen to keep as many as possible to maximise our harvest later in the year.

The warm weather over the last couple of weeks has really helped everything along and almost every window-sill in the house is now fully occupied with a mix of chillies, basil, dahlias and a few marigolds for companion planting.

Yesterday, as a bit of an experiment I rigged up a Raspberry Pi to capture a timelapse of the chilli and basil plants in our lounge window growing throughout the day. You can see the results in the following video.
